The beer is re-fermented in the bottle, which contributes to the full-bodied and round taste. That also means that the beer contains fresh and lively yeast, and has a taste evolution. The yeast also gives the beer its typically turbid character. Moreover, this brings the alcohol content back to the original 5% ABV.
The Vanneste family used raw unmalted wheat for its wheat beer. This gives the beer an extra fresh character, and also distinguishes itself from the other and German style of white beers that are on the market. Finally, the beer is brewed again with 100% Belgian hops, originating from the Westhoek: Magnum hops. This is a hop that gives both a subtle bitterness and spiciness to the beer.
